Академия интерактивных наук и искусств недавно объявила полный список номинантов на предстоящей девятнадцатой ежегодной церемонии D.I.C.E. Awards. Как стало известно , проекты The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt и Rise of the Tomb Raider претендуют сразу на 8 наград.

Оба проекта ведут борьбу за престижное звание игры года, за которую также поборятся Bloodborne, Fallout 4 и Ori and the Blind Forest. Также на победу в нескольких номинациях претендуют Ori and the Blind Forest (6 номинаций), Fallout 4 и Her Story (по 5 номинаций), The Order: 1886 и Star Wars Battlefront (по 4 номинации). Batman: Arkham Knight, Destiny: The Taken King, Rocket League, Lara Croft Go, Life is Strange, и Undertale номинированы в трех категориях каждая.

Победители будут объявлены на официальной церемонии 18 февраля в Лас-Вегасе в результате закрытого голосования. Ведущим, как и в прошлом году, станет Пит Холмс (Pete Holmes).

Помимо прочего, организаторы мероприятия объявили, что Сатору Ивата, генеральный директор Nintendo, получит награду за Значимые жизненные достижения (Lifetime Achievement Award). Ранее этого добивались лишь пять человек: основатель EA Бинг Гордон (Bing Gordon), основатель ESA Дуг Ловенштайн (Doug Lowenstein), генеральный директор PlayStation Кен Кутараги (Ken Kutaragi), генеральный директор Nintendo of America Минору Аракава (Minoru Arakawa) и председатель Nintendo of America Говард Линкольн (Howard Lincoln).

По данным , создатель Metal Gear Solid, Хидэо Кодзима (Hideo Kojima) в рамках церемонии награждения окажется в Зале славы игровой индустрии.
